GO ROCKIES!!

OK... so by now we all know that the Rockies are out of the playoffs. It wasn't quite the run they had in 2007, but we still enjoyed going to the games! We attended the last game of the series last Monday and had a blast. Ella was such a trooper, waving her towel and cheering "GO ROCKIES!!" We were plesantly surprised that Ella made it through the whole game without any fussing- and it got pretty cold at the end.
Here are a few of our pics from the game:

Havestival 2009

This year we attempted to try something new with our grocery shopping. We became a member of a CSA (community supported agriculture) and get a weekly basket of organic vegetables from a local farm called Grant Family Farm. As members of this farm, we were invited to their annual Harvest Festival or "Harvestival." Mark, Ella and I were so excited to check out the farm where our vegetables are grown and particpate in the hayrides, petting zoo and beer garden. We were also planning on getting a pumpkin from their pumpkin patch. Well, if you live in Colorado, you already know that the weather did not cooperate withus last weekend...
I'm proud to say that we braved the storm and got our pumpkin! Thanks to friends Michele, Benjamin and Kate Hanson who joined us for the festival. It ended up being a blast even though it was freezing.

October Snow

We have snow in Dever! This is actually the 2nd snow of the season... we had a very short-lived storm in September... but today it was actually enough for Ella to notice. She was scared to stand in in at first, but then eventually held her hands out to "catch" it. So cute!!!

Dance Class

Today Ella & I joined our friends Emery and her mom Jackie for Dance Class. It was way too much fun and we have decided to make it a regular thing... so of course we had to purchase the appropriate attire. Here is a picture of Ella in her new dance skirt. We have ballet slippers too, so more pics to come of her with the whole outfit!

More KC pics

A couple more pics from our visit to KC. Ella and I had so much fun at Kara's house for a Morning playdate....

But Mom had WAY more fun that night...

Ella's Visit to KC

Here are some pics from Ella's stay in Kansas City:

Boston & Kansas City Trip

I feel like I've been gone for a month... Ella and I traveled to Kansas City on Thursday, September 24th. I dropped her off with GG & G'Daddy (her word for Granddaddy) and met Mark in Boston on Friday 9/25 for a wedding. We attended the Bailey/Paul wedding in Topsfield, MA and then extended our trip a few days so we could do some sightseeing and go to a Red Sox game at Fenway.

On Tuesday 9/29 Mark returned to Denver and I flew back to KC for a visit and to pick up Ella. Ella and I returned to Denver this past Monday.

Here are a few pics from our travels.

Are you ready for some football???

ELLA IS!!!
This past Sunday Mark, Ella & I cheered the Green Bay Packers on for their season opener agains the Chicago Bears. I am happy to report that they WON! Dad couldn't be happier!

Aunt Patti!!!!

We L O V E Aunt Patti!!
Not only is she loads of fun, but she is a huge help to Mom.
And to top it all off she always gives Ella developmental "assesments" to make sure our darling baby is developing as she should be. (I'm only kidding).

Anyway- we were lucky enough to have a visit from Patti this past weekend because she was here in Denver on business. We had so much fun hanging out with Patti and having lunch with her and her frieneds.

Her visit was quick, but we were so happy to have her! We can't wait to see her again soon.

Also- A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PATTI, who turns 27 years young today! I woudl post the video of me & Ella singing her Happy Birthday, but you don't want to hear my singing voice.

First Day of "School"

Ella had her first day of "school" today. Actually it's really a "Parents Day Out" program through our church, but we call it SCHOOL.
After today, Ella will go to school every Tuesday from 9:30a-1:30p. Mom is so excited!! Today was a short day to get all the kids acclimated, but Ella did great. She didn't cry at all when I left and she was happily playing with the toys when I arrived to pick her up.

We couldn't get over how cute Ella looked with her new backpack and new shoes! She was so excited to wear the backpack- she loves it!!
