This year we attempted to try something new with our grocery shopping. We became a member of a CSA (community supported agriculture) and get a weekly basket of organic vegetables from a local farm called Grant Family Farm. As members of this farm, we were invited to their annual Harvest Festival or "Harvestival." Mark, Ella and I were so excited to check out the farm where our vegetables are grown and particpate in the hayrides, petting zoo and beer garden. We were also planning on getting a pumpkin from their pumpkin patch. Well, if you live in Colorado, you already know that the weather did not cooperate withus last weekend...
I'm proud to say that we braved the storm and got our pumpkin! Thanks to friends Michele, Benjamin and Kate Hanson who joined us for the festival. It ended up being a blast even though it was freezing.
