Doctor's Visit

Ella has a bad cold! We headed to the doctor today to make sure it's nothing to worry about... it isn't. Just a common cold that needs to run it's course. Lot's of fluids, rest and TLC. Ella is not quite old enough for chicken soup yet.

We did get an official weigh in at 23lbs and 3oz!!! (That's 3.5lbs gained in 2 months!)

Race for the Cure

Mark, Ella and I participated in Race for the Cure this weekend. It's always amazing to see so many people decked out in pink in support of Breast Cancer. Woo hoo!

I'm growing up fast!!

Ella is on her way! 8 months and counting! Still no crawling or (gasp!) walking... but she is almost there. She will be moving just as soon as she decides she is ready.

GG visits Denver

We were blessed to have my Mom come to see us for the weekend while Mark was traveling. We hung out all weekend at the house with Ella. To the surprize and relief of Dad and Granddaddy, we didn't shop at all! :)

Ella & Nicholas

We headed to a Rockies game with the Sandoval family last weekend. We has a blast and even got to see a great fireworks show after the game. Ella had so much fun hanging out with her friend Nicholas. He is almost exactly a year older than Ella. Hard to believe she will be talking and moving around like him in just 1 year.

Summer is ending

Summer is ending but Ella is still having a blast!


We went to a CSU pep rally to celebrate the beginning of the Rams season... too bad they lost to CU. Boo!


Ella is still helping Mom train for her marathon... well, sort of.


And we enjoyed a short hike with the Fulte family (Kristie, Alan, and their little baby on the way- due Jan09).

Colorado Rockies game

Ella went to her 2nd ever Rockies game on Labor Day.



Anna took us down to field level and just outside the Rockies locker room, so cool. All the players were talking to Ella as they left... and we even got a couple pics in the press room.

Ella: 7 months old

7 months has come and gone... hard to believe... time flies!

We've been blest this past month with a visit from Nanny and Poppa (Mark's parents).

We also got to make a trip to Kansas City for Aunt Patti & Uncle Chopper's Wedding where we played with Natalie and Evie again.

We've had many milestones for both Ella & Mom. Mom had her 1st overnight away from Ella thanks to a visit from Nanny & Poppa. Mom & Dad spend the night at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park while the Grandparents manned the Fort. :)

Ella is easily sitting up on her own these days and maintaining good balance. She's also babbling away, but most importatly, she said her 1st word!! DADA!!

No crawling yet, but she sure is scooting around. And she also hit the weight limit on her infant car seat, so she's now riding in style in a new big girl car seat.

If you can't tell from the pictures, our Ella is a big eater! We are exploring new foods every day and getting ready to move to finger foods!

Patti Gets Married

Congrats Patti & Chopper!!!

My little sister got married this weekend! It was beautiful, perfect and a total blast. I'm so sad it's over! Really looking forward to Patti returning from her honeymoon in Bermuda so we can talk about it all!!

New house paint

We had the exterior of the house painted this week and it looks great! We are so excited about the new green color!
